Cuxton Marina offers the following services:
Moorings range from half tide moorings, which float when the tide is in for about 1-2 hours; to outside linear berths, which float for approximately 4 hours either side of high water. Our rates range from £11.87 per metre per month for a half tide berth to £18.56 per metre per month for an outside linear berth. All prices shown are subject to VAT at the appropriate rate. The pontoons are afloat +/-4 hours at high water and are accessible at all states of the tide. Electricity and water are available on our pontoons.
Compound storage is available either for both trailered boats, or blocked up in one of our two compounds. Our rates start at £7.50 per metre per month for a trailer boat to £9.16 per metre per month for larger boats on blocks (subject to VAT). Electricity and water are available in the main compound.
We have a 12 ton boat hoist which can cater for boats with a beam of under 14ft and an overall length of up to 40ft.
We have recently replaced our all-terrain forklift with a JCB telehandler. This new machine has made the job of lifting customer’s engines in and out of boats much quicker and easier. We now wonder how we managed without it!
For customers new to boating we can offer instruction and assistance on boating skills such as boat handling, local routes and tidal information and DIY maintenance. Two members of our team passed the RYA powerboat instructor course.
Cuxton Marina has a selection of fully insured workboats which allow us to offer a wide range of services. Our current fleet includes a 50ft steel boat, a 31ft work boat, two 18ft GRP general purpose dories and a versatile rib. Work covered includes towing, safety boat and guard boat work, emergency recovery work, hospitality work and other ad-hoc projects.
Roco is a 50ft steel boat and was used by her last owner as an escort vessel for swimmers who were swimming the English Channel. Her owner was Alison Streeter MBE who swam the channel 43 times, including a three way non-stop swim. She still holds the world record for her channel swimming.
Now refurbished Roco is suitable for skippered day charters up to 12 passengers. Full catering facilities are available. Her economical diesel engines and modern fit out make her one of the most comfortable boats of her class available for charter in the area.
Don Pepe is a 31ft fibreglass workboat with twin Cummins diesel engines. In the past she was fitted out to take fishing parties out of Brighton.
Her low draft and air draft make her an ideal workboat for the Medway area. We have used her for a variety of towing jobs from large barges down to small leisure boats; escort and safety boat work; taking out charter groups and other ad-hoc duties.
We have a pair of 18ft GRP Dorys powered by a 40hp and a 50hp Honda. These strong stable boats are suitable for a wide range of jobs e.g. manoeuvring unpowered craft in restricted areas by using one at the bow and one at the stern, charter work for shallow water surveying where we tow sonar equipment on a specified grid pattern. Assisting the coastguard in searching for missing persons in the water, safety boat work, and numerous other ad-hoc jobs.
